The modest space hums with the warm energy of a small, beloved business, where the service feels familiar, and the menu reflects decades of culinary tradition rather than fleeting trends. It’s where hearty, comforting Mexican fare emerges not just as food, but as a connection—a taste of shared stories and family memories.

Whether you’re savoring the tender, flame-kissed carne asada tacos to go or digging into a taco salad layered with fresh, vibrant toppings, every bite echoes the care taken to keep flavors authentic and true. The kitchen’s offerings—like crisp tostadas, rich chorizo tacos, or the simple joy of guacamole and cheese rolled into a handheld delight—invite moments of discovery and nostalgia alike.

It’s the sort of spot where a well-seasoned chicken quesadilla plate can feel like a thoughtful midday pause and where the salsa bar rewards curiosity with a variety of bites that tease and complement with subtle heat and zest. Whether you’re stopping by after a quick errand or making time to reconnect with the tastes and textures that remind you of home, this is a place that values the small moments that make food truly memorable.

Good food. The AC doesn’t work well, but it is good. Real food vs the fake stuff next door. True small business here.

The Carne Asada is just like San Diego carne, the 2nd best next to real mexican tacos. Soo good, I would go back

From a mexican-I lived in Forest Grove for 6 years, and moved temporarily to another state. Found a husband, and spent 4 more years telling him about Javier's. This morning after an Amazon flex route, I got him to go there. He cried. He hasn't had burritos like this since he was a little boy traveling to Mexico with his family, and my sweet and hard working husband cried at how good it is. From the burrito, to the sauce, it is the closest thing to home we have had in years. Dios Padre contigo todo tiempo, Javier's. Thank you from a pregnant woman and her happy and full husband. Huge burritos, fresh, amazing sauce, everything.

The bacon breakfast burritos were amazing. 10.99 seems like a high price point for a breakfast burritos, but it was a hefty burrito. I ate half for breakfast and half for lunch. I will be returning to try some other items. Cheers.

I stopped by Javier’s Tacos for lunch while getting an oil change nearby at Dick’s Hillsboro Honda, and I’m so glad I did. I ordered the chicken quesadilla plate, and it was absolutely delicious! The chicken was seasoned perfectly—truly top tier—and the portion size was impressive. The salsa bar had a great variety to choose from. The service was friendly and welcoming, making the experience even better. I’ll definitely be back for more!

The food was pretty good. I got the #1 (2)tacos rice and beans. I feel that $14 is asking a little much though. The beans were Watery but still tasted fine. The rice was really good. The tacos had so much grease that came out of them it filled up two full napkins and was still dripping in Grease but again they tasted good.
